HUB Module Group

The HUB Module Group members are all members of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). We display NMRA standard HO scale modules frequently at shows and events locally in eastern Massachusetts and sometimes at national & international events elsewhere.  Some of the local events include the Amherst Show in Springfield, MA, the New England Model Train Expo in Marlborough, Northeastern Region Conventions, and the National Heritage Museum in Lexington at Christmas time in December, Children's Hospital in Boston, and more.

Depending on your zip code if you live in eastern Massachusetts your membership in the NMRA automatically qualifies you as a HUB Division member and gives you the opportunity to become a member of the Hub Module Group. All you have to do is participate. For further information please see the Hub Module Group bylaws.

The Hub Division, Inc. supports the module group with its ownership of key modules which help us with our displays and supply the trailer used to transport and house the Division owned modules.

Many of the individual module group members have built personal modules to HUB/NMRA specifications which are for a linear 2' x 4' module. The national standard is for a double track main line with optional inside and outside yards. Trains are run principally on Digital Command Control (DCC) using the Lenz System, although DC operation is also possible.

The current modular railroad superintendent is Jim Harter. Click on his name to email him for any questions you may have or if you need additional information.

The HUB Division offers a full top modular kit to Hub Division, Inc. members for $125 which comes complete with all lumber precut and hardware pieces packaged, including track and electrical components. Contact Mark Harlow for details.
